JET-HOT offers many different coatings for all kinds of applications.  Our most popular and brightest finish is our STERLING SILVER.  Our new EXTREME STERLING is slightly duller but will hold its shine 200ºF higher than STERLING and insulates better.  We offer COLOR COATINGS for parts that need to look stock, or just a little different.  Here is a listing of the different finishes we offer and how they compare to each other.
STERLING SILVER is our brightest looking finish.  It comes out looking like a very highly polished aluminum.  This coating can withstand temperatures up to 1,300ºF and will reduce skin temps on pipes by about 300ºF.  It is a very low maintenance finish, easily cleaned with soap and water.  You can use any non-abrasive aluminum polish to bring out the shine if it ever gets dirty.  It will never turn blue or gold like chrome or stainless.  This coating works great on normally aspirated engines and any parts that need to have a show quality finish.

EXTREME STERLING is very similar in appearance to Sterling but not quite as bright.  It will hold its shine 200ºF higher and can actually withstand temps up to 1,700ºF.  This amazing finish normally cuts down about 400ºF on the skin temperature of pipes.  This coating is great for mild turbocharged or supercharges applications, or on pipes that have turned grey with other silver finishes.

Both of these amazing finshes are coated inside and out most of the time for better corrosion resistance, more heat reduction and better appearance.

JET-HOT 2000
JET-HOT 2000 is formulated for very high temperatures.  This rugged coating protects substrates up to 2,450°F, heat levels sometimes encountered in Rodding and Off-Road applications. It is available in black, blue or grey.  Although it can withstand higher temperatures than the STERLING and EXTREME STERLING, it is not as good of an insulator at lower temps.  For example, if your exhaust gas temps are running at 1,300ºF, the EXTREME STERLING will reduce the skin temperatures on your pipes more than the JET-HOT 2000.  However, some turbo applications see exhaust temps over the 1,700ºF limit of EXTREME STERLING, so the JET-HOT 2000 will work better for those types of vehicles. This coating has a semi-rough texture.
COLOR COATINGS
JET-HOT has many COLOR COATINGS (click here for our color chart) to meet your needs.  All colors can withstand temperatures to 1,300ºF except the GLOSS BLACK, which will keep its color to 1,100ºF.  Most of these colors have the same insulating properties as the STERLING and most can be applied over the EXTREME STERLING for better heat reduction.
