What a great weekend for Jet-Hot & Detroit Speed, at the inaugural Get Started Racing driving school October 14th-16th at Virginia International Raceway. The weather was fantastic and everybody was excited about the chance to improve their driving skills on the skid pad and autocross course. The weekend started at Jet-Hot in Burlington, NC with lunch followed by vehicle tech inspections and classroom instruction. Saturday was a full day starting with classroom instruction and followed by driver training skills. This was the first chance for the students to get behind the wheel. They learned the elements of an autocross course by repeating drills in the car with one on one instruction all throughout the day. Sunday was an exciting day. Students were able to run the full-course autocross course with the instructors riding along and providing instruction. The full course runs were great fun and a terrific opportunity for students to see the improvement in their skills Jet-Hot and Detroit Speed wish to thank all the students who joined us, and made the school such a fun and successful event. We look forward to many more Get Started Racing events in 2012 and beyond.
