The Story:

Bryan Fuller randomly met Emmett Burton at Cars and Coffee one Saturday. He went to his house to see his collection of 30 vehicles of all different stages of construction.

There sat this really cool 32 Ford Roadster! Burton started the project to compete in the “Cannonball Run” before the movie came out. Magnesium Wide 5 Sprint Car wheels, Mag Quick-CHange rear end…All Untouched for almost 40 Years!! Emmett Started this car in 1971 and quit working on it in 1973. He literally left the tools where they lay and didn’t touch them for 4 Decades!

Bryan was so moved by this car he decided to build a cannonball tribute to this vehicle and began collecting parts. First he got snowed in at the Cincinnati Airport and took a spontaneous side trip to Brookville, Ohio where he bought the body in pieces. After searching for 2 years, a fellow in the moonshine hills of North Georgia sold Bryan the wheels. The power plant is a 750 HP Kaase Boss Nine!

Enter Jet-Hot High Performance Coatings, the originator and leader in high temperature ceramic coatings. They approached Fuller about building a vehicle to showcase their coatings and eventually be driven hard at Auto-Cross events; Road Courses; Open Road Races; Etc.

The plan is to make the “Double Down” all wheel drive which is the reason for the moniker. Stay tuned to see this early 70′s style neck snapper come to life and roar to an event near you!!

State at the Beginning of the Build

Motor Head Garage visited the Hot-Rod and Restoration Show and Jet-Hot was featured as part of the show.   There are two airings on Fox Sports Networks:

Jet-Hot is debuting their hauler this weekend at Good Guys Del Mar, in Del Mar, CA.   The hauler will allow Jet-Hot to bring vehicles to events as well as provide  considerable space for people to visit.   We invite to to come visit us  Friday March 30 to April 1 at Outdoor Booth #68.

Jet-Hot will be launching a pickup and delivery service in the Phoenix, AZ Metropolitan area.
